furn; Brasilia.

last week the superblog design*sponge posted a sneak peek which included this pic…

i’ve seen this furniture style before but this piece really intrigued me so i took it to google to find out more

from what the world wide web tells me, american furniture manuf. Broyhill created this furn line, Broyhill Brasilia, in the 60s and discontinued it around 1970. 

& it was inspired by the architecture of Brasília, the capital of Brazil.

    I too agree. this furniture is awesome! I really like that big credenza and hutch. I will be on the lookout for something like this at antique stores in the future!

    I am buying a contemporary 1966 home designed and lived in for 44 years by an architect who bought Brasilia by Broyhill for his dining room and bedroom. I fell in love with the furniture which influenced me to buy the house and get the funiture included. Art in the form of furniture can be very persuasive.
